Charter Member's Active Supporting Wife
Beverly Rogers, Dene's wife, was a very active supporter of the base, especially the Scholarship Program in the 80s, & 90s. She passed away in hospice care near her son's home in Florida on March 15, 2014.
Bev's obit from the Kitsap Sun:
Beverly Ann Scully Rogers entered into Life May 23, 1937 in New London, Connecticut. After a long and courageous bout with Parkinson's disease, entered into Rest on March 15, 2014.
She is survived by her husband Dene and three children, Teri Ann and husband Mark Bailey, Christine Marie Dotson and Thomas Eudene and Trina Rogers; by her sisters, Sheila Parks and Mary and Frank Driscoll of New London, Connecticut, and her brother Robert and his wife Sandy Scully of Coventry, Rhode Island. She has nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a strong and principled woman with a great sense of humor. She was a devoted Navy wife, a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a true friend to many people and she will forever live in our hearts.

Base Members Make Monthly Showing At Trident Training Facility (TTF)
As shown here on Wed, April 2, 2014, Bremerton Base members made their monthly visit to the lobby of the Trident Training Facility, NBK, Bangor during lunch hour to meet staff and students, exchange tales of their silent service and show them some submarine paraphernalia the base has to offer.
Base members also informed the st
aff and students of USSVI national and Bremerton Base events and programs available to the membership and encourage them to join, as active duty submarine personnel are submarine veterans.
Base Storekeeper, What A Guy!
Most of us know that Base Storekeeper, Ralph Harris, is compassionate and giving person.
Recently at Robbie's graveside service, Ralph presented Seattle Base member Karl Krompholz with a blanket to give to his grandson, Colby Pretz, who is suffering from MDA. I was cc'd on e-mail from Colby, and will share with you. Red
